DESTINED FOR GREATNESS
Updated: Apr 16, 2019
“For He has rescued us and has drawn us to Himself from the dominion of darkness, and has transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,”
COLOSSIANS 1:13 AMP
We must first recognize that before we came into existence we were already planned and predestined for His greatness.

Our journeys have allowed certain circumstances to effect the way we see ourselves and how we view Christ. The text above says that when we were lost and could not save ourselves God rescued us. If any of us are familiar with a rescue or have witnessed footage of one know that it is a scary, intense, and extremely emotional situation.
Why? Because lives are on the line.
God seeing the immense sin, overwhelming darkness, constant condemnation and impending doom of a forever in hell stepped in our situation and sent his son to be our rescuer, our Savior. This free transference Jesus unselfishly performed snatched us from darkness and brought us to the light. God cares for us and this one valiant act of love truly shows just how much He concerned and cares for us.
We must realize that it is the will of God that we prosper in every area. Perishing, failure, defeat was never meant for us as believers and is key indicator that we are not clinging to the memory of when He saved us.
Ultimately we must have a greater than.
When we are faced with the urge or inclination to look back remember the free act of love that our Savior extended us at the lowest point of our lives and cling to his rescuing, redemptive love that has the power to set and keep us free.
